    4月16日下午，北京师范大学外聘教授Chris Tebbe 莅临我院，在二楼东会议室做了题为 Task-Based Language Teaching 的讲座。我院教师及研究生参与了此讲座。讲座由Jenna Thompson主持。

    Chris Tebbe 由CLT (communicative language teaching) 作为切入点，讲述了其定义及理论基础，进而重点引出TBLT (Task-Based Language Teaching). Mr. Chris Tebbe 在演讲中首先讲述了教具类型例如报纸报刊，网络等，然后讲述了TBLT的原则及优点，比如该教学法以学生为中心，同时能够促进学生之间的交流。最后讲解了任务的具体特点及分类以及如何去设计一个任务。

   Chris Tebbe教授在开展整场讲座过程中使用了任务型教学法，讲授语言风趣，与听众进行了互动，参与者积极发言，整场氛围活跃。最后全体参与人员以纸张形式给予了Chris Tebbe教授反馈，整场讲座圆满结束。

   Chris Tebbe is the United States Department of State English Language Specialist at Beijing Normal Universityand with the

Regional English Language Officeof the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. He has more than 18 years oflanguage teaching experience;

Chris has taught German in the United States and English in the United States,Austria, Japan, and China. 

In addition to a Master’s degree in German from the University of Cincinnati (Ohio),he completed his Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers

of Other Languages (TESOL) at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. Chris was also a U.S.

 Department of State English Language Fellow at Sichuan University in Chengdu from 2012 to 2014 and a Peace Corps Volunteer from 2000 to 2003 at Sichuan Normal University. 

He has worked with many teachers and students throughout China.
